What we offer
Outcast Psychology provides 50-minute online consultations and individual therapy for ages 16+, and clinical supervision to trainee and qualified therapists. All services use our sliding‑scale fees to make psychological care more accessible and sustainable for both clients and therapists.
Our services
-
All new clients begin with a psychological consultation. Consultations involve an assessment and formulation of your experiences. Assessment means building a fuller picture of what is going on, looking at your current difficulties, your history, and what may be contributing to how things feel. Formulation means making sense of that picture together, looking at patterns, relationships, experiences and circumstances to develop a shared understanding of why things may feel the way they do. It allows us to think together about what kind of support might be most helpful. For some people, one consultation is enough as a one‑off space to reflect and think about next steps. For others, it becomes the starting point for ongoing therapy.
-
Individual therapy offers ongoing onetime support tailored to your needs and goals. It builds on the shared understanding developed in the consultation and creates space for deeper therapeutic work over time.
We usually recommend weekly sessions to begin with, to help us get to know each other, develop a clearer sense of what we’re working on and how, and establish some momentum. We’re also open to fortnightly sessions where that supports your access to therapy.
Where regular weekly appointments are not immediately available, you may be offered ad‑hoc sessions until the therapist has a regular slot for you. We will only suggest this if we feel this way of working is safe and appropriate for what you are seeking support with.
-
Individual online clinical supervision is available for trainee and qualified therapists, supporting safe, ethical and reflective therapeutic work. Supervision is offered by practitioner psychologists with core training in person‑centred therapy and CBT, and experience integrating other approaches such as schema therapy, compassion‑focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. All supervisors at Outcast Psychology choose to work with us because they align with our ethos and values around access, inclusivity and socially just practice.
Session fees
Outcast Psychology uses a sliding‑scale fee structure. This is intended to support accessibility and sustainability together, so that therapy can be more reachable while also remaining viable for the people offering it.
All sessions (consultation and therapy) are offered at the same four bands:
£40
£70
£100
£130
The same service is offered at each band. The different fees reflect differences in people’s financial circumstances, not whether someone’s difficulties are “serious enough” to come to therapy.
If you are unsure which fee feels right for you, you can read more about how to choose your fee on the booking page, or mention this when you get in touch so it can be thought about together.
